I always forget how important the empty days are, how important it may be sometimes not to expect to produce anything, even a few lines in a journal… The most valuable thing we can do for the psyche, occasionally, is to let it rest, wander, live in the changing light of a room, not try to be or do anything whatever.

What is Contemplative Tarot?
The word contemplative underscores the fact that Tarot (as discussed here) is a personal practice, an awareness practice, a wisdom practice, a compass for the subconscious, a conversation with the soul. Contemplative Tarot turns the seeker into the reader. It rejects the notion that an outside authority is required and places ownership of the process in the hands of the person with the question. It doesn’t prevent the seeker from working alongside another reader, but it requires the seeker to participate fully in the process. Contemplative Tarot is an approach grounded in ethics, insight and intimacy.
